HI,

 

I'm trying to print .pdf and .docx documents that I have in a USB drive connected to the printer. But in the printer display menu only says "Print pictures" or "Scan to a USB"  and "Update firmware" I have .jpg pictures too and I can see them but I can't see .pdf and .docx.  so this printer only allows to print pictures? why it can't print documents from USB drive?

Most logical explanation is that it does not have a native PDF interpreter built in. If it sees Jpeg files then it appears to be working. I note that the manually only says print from USB, makes no statement about file types. Hate to say it but in the Wide Carriage inkjet market, HP competitors have better products.
