Welcome to the HP Community --

 

Unknown Printer, Operating System / version, Connection type, or Application / Software

 

Assuming you are referring to the Automatic Document Feeder that is included with some printer models --

 

The ADF is not an paper intake tray used for Printing.

The ADF is used for Scan and Copy functions.

 

Put another way - You can't load paper in the ADF and then use your application or software to print from the ADF
