In general, when scanning with HP Smart and a mobile device (tablet, phone), scanned documents tend to gather into one finish file.
OR
In general, when scanning on a computer (Windows, MacOS), the scanned content can end up in either condition, that is, one page of content per file or all pages of scanned content in one finish file.

Results in this environment depend on scan methods, applications, and software provide additional features and options -- What you get depends on what you do and how you do it.
Said another way:
The results in this case depend entirely on the application, software, scan method, content type (images / document), and, possibly to some extent, on the printer model.
