The printer I am using is the HP Color LaserJet Prop MFP M479fdw.  I am using the HP app called HP Scan and Capture.   When scanning a photo to a pdf there is obviously compression applied since the resulting file sizes are so much smaller than other formats (.tiff for example).  But I would like to know if the compression is lossy or lossless.  Thanks!
