Hello,I have HP deskjet ink advantage  4645. I have a some issue in my printer. I sure i didnt have a any damage to my printer. But nowadays the screen looks whiter and its not get command when i trying to copy (expect print) its not working

I understand your HP Deskjet Ink Advantage 4645 printer is experiencing two main issues:
 

  1. White Screen on the Printer Display: This could indicate a problem with the printer’s display or its internal components.
  2. Copy Function Not Working: This suggests there might be an issue with the scanner or the firmware.

Here are some steps you can try to troubleshoot these issues:
 

1. Power Cycle the Printer

  • Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
  • Wait for about 1-2 minutes.
  • Plug the printer back in and turn it on.

2. Check for Firmware Updates Update the firmware on an HP printer

  • Ensure your printer’s firmware is up to date. Sometimes, firmware updates can fix bugs and improve functionality.
  • You can check for updates by going to the HP Support website, entering your printer model, and checking the downloads section for any available firmware updates.

3. Perform a Hard Reset

  • With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the back of the printer.
  • Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
  • Wait for about 60 seconds.
  • Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet and the printer.
  • Turn on the printer to see if the screen returns to normal and if the copy function works.

4. Reset the Printer to Factory Settings

  • If the display screen allows, navigate to the settings menu on your printer.
  • Look for a "Restore Factory Defaults" or similar option and confirm the reset.
  • Be aware that this will erase any customized settings on the printer.

5. Check the Scanner

  • Place a document on the scanner glass and try to make a copy.
  • If the screen is still white, try using the HP Smart app or another scanning application on your computer to see if the scanner works through software commands.

6. Inspect for Physical Issues

  • Check for any visible damage or loose connections on the printer.
  • Open the printer cover and ensure there is no paper jam or debris that could be affecting the scanner or other components.
