HP Scan app is not loading on my Mac running Catalina 10.15.7

macOS 10.15 Catalina

I need to scan something but the HP Scan app will not load. I last used it maybe a month ago and it worked. Please help!!! So frustrating!

My printer is connected over USB so no wireless connectivity issues apply and it prints just fine but I want to scan.

I've troubleshooted already by

-uninstalling and reinstalling the app

-updating to most up to date OS

-restarting the computer

-running first-aid on the computer

-clearing cookies

Have you tried using the Apple Image Capture? 

 

Meanwhile, ensure that the printer is up to date with its firmware and Mac is up to date with its software. If you are unsure you may use the links below to update the printer firmware and Mac software:

Update software on Mac 

 

Try scanning.

 

If the issue persists, we can try updating the HP Easy Scan App. Here us how you do it-

 

Uninstall the printer software and reinstall it. Refer to the document HP Printers - Uninstalling HP Printer Software (Mac)  for help. Once you have the latest software, try scanning.
