HP Scanjet 5400
macOS 10.14 Mojave

I'm trying to scan multiple pages into a single document on a Mac rather than having each page save individually. I have a scanner with an automatic feed tray, and it seems like this should be something that would be automatic and not something requiring having to spend time on the internet figuring out how to do (which, by the way is how my LAST HP printer worked, so just a note- so far I'm not very happy with how this new printer sets up and operates- I don't think I'd buy another HP printer at this point). I have read other HP forums on how to scan a multipage document into a single file and none of the little boxes I'm supposed to check or menu prompts I'm supposed to select to accomplish this feat exist so far. Can someone tell me how to combine this 2 page document into a single file? Thank you very much.

@LAO2, Welcome to HP Support Community!

May I have the exact model name of the product? Refer to this document for steps to find the product details. Do not share any of your personal information such as serial, phone number, email ID, etc.

Which application are you trying to scan to?

In which format would you like to save the document?

Keep me posted.
