Hi, I've been having issues scanning documents, photos etc. through the scan to computer function. Basically it only allows for ADF scanning. If I place a document or photo on the glass, it will return a message entitled:
"Automatic Document Feeder is Empty. No items were detected in the Automatic Document Feeder. Please place your originals into the Automatic Document Feeder and start the scan again."
This problem does not occur with scanning to USB. I have performed a hard power-off reset and checked the ADF for any weird blockages. The problem occurs whether I initiate the scan from the printer, or via the HP Easy Scan app.
Any help will be most appreciated, thanks!

HP Easy Scan is currently not fully compatible with macOS Catalina and we'd suggest you use the image capture. We're actively working to restore complete functionality. You may refer to this document for more information - HP Printers - HP Easy Scan Is Not Currently Supported in macOS Catalina
