Isn't that the same as copying?
Put the document you want to "print" on the scan glass and hit "Copy"

Hi,
Thanks for using the forum.
Not quite sure we understand what you meant by "Scan to Print".
However, in order to use scan, you need to download and install the full feature software.
Here's the link for your convenience:
Once you have installed the Full feature software, you should be able to print and scan.
The following videos will be helpful for your scanning needs :

Hello HP Forums,
@greenturtle, I believe @rohatyner is inquiring about (as am I) a "scan and send to printer" function so you can print to //any// printer.
Does HP Printer Assistant allow "send to printer (subsystem - vs. the scanner's printer)" as a Scan Destination option? If no, I classify this as a HP Printer Assistant loss in functionality vs its predecessor HP Solution Center.
Use case: Scan a document and print with a different printer (other than the HP Officejet Pro 6968 being used to scan). One specific need: send scan to a .pdf print driver that allows appending to an existing .pdf document. This is only one need, the ability to send a scan to any printer recognized by my OS affords many options.
HP Solution Center (predecessor to HP Printer Assistant) scan settings Scan To allows selecting Printer. After the scan, and selecting the scan viewer's "Finish" button, the Window "Printer Setup" dialog appeared and one can select any Windows printer.
Is the same possible with HP Printer Assistant?
HP Printer Assistant Destination File Type:
- JPEG
- PNG
- BMP
- TIF
- Text (.txt)
- Rich Text (.rtf)
- Searchable PDF (.pdf)
HP Printer Assistant Destination Send To:
- Local or Network folder
- Dropbox
- GoogleDrive
Is there a way to add "Printer" (or for techie folk "System Printer")?
Current System Info:
- HP Printer Assistant, file version: 36.2.1964.60632 (per properties -> detail tab of HP OfficeJet Pro 6960.exe - couldn't find [menu] -> Help -> About ... ???)
- Windows 10
- HP Officejet Pro 6968 (shouldn't make a different - this is really about HP Printer Assistant)
Prior System Info:
- HP Solution Center, file version: 130.0.44.62 (per properties -> detail tab of hpqdirec.exe - no Help -> About)
- Windows 7
- HP Photosmart C7250
Thanks,
Tim

Hi @TimWC,
Thanks for using the HP Forums.
Unfortunately the HP Printer Assistant doesn't offer the option to scan to and print.
However, wouldn't it suffice to Save as PDF and you can print the file from any printer?
Thanks.

Hi @greenturtle,
Thanks for the reply - since the OP marked this thread solved, I created HP Printer Assistant - Scan to Printer (OS Printer subsystem) under Print Software and Drivers and (my apologies for any duplication) .
From a workflow perspective, doubling the steps is a deal breaker. A particular requirement creates .pdf with 100's of pages - one .pdf per person per month containing all receipts/expenses.
I tried (not too hard) to use HP Solution Center, but it looks like it's:
- printer specific
- not compatible with Win10
Is HP Solution Center supported for OfficeJet Pro 6968 on Win 10 (64 bit)?
Thanks,
Tim
