I have a Sprocket Studio that I have been using for 4 years and have absolutely loved. As I was printing pictures last week it stopped printing randomly and I have not been able to get it to print since. Everything will turn on like normal, it will load pictures into the “app queue” and says sending and then after it is finished it will say “print queue paused” and the play button in the app is greyed out and it will not print. I have tried a factory reset. I have removed the app from my phone. I have forgotten the device from my Bluetooth and reconnected it. The paper is in the tray correctly. I have unplugged everything and plugged it back in. I have restarted my phone. The toner cartridge is new. I have tried connecting it to a different device and the Bluetooth on their phone can’t find the printer but if I connect it on my phone it will pair again. Can anyone think of anything that might help??

Hi @Hallie6593,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.
This sounds frustrating, especially after years of smooth use. Based on your issue with the HP Sprocket Studio showing “print queue paused” and not responding, even after resets and app reinstalls, here’s a Step-by-Step fix strategy to solve the issue:
1. Clear the Print Queue in the App
- Open the HP Sprocket app.
- Tap the Menu (☰) > Print Queue.
- If you see any stuck jobs, swipe left to delete them.
- Restart the app and try printing again.
2. Reset the Printer (Hard Reset)
You mentioned a factory reset, but try this specific method:
- Turn off the printer.
- Unplug it from power for at least 60 seconds.
- Plug it back in and turn it on without connecting to Bluetooth yet.
- Wait for the printer to fully initialize.
3. Reinstall the App and Reconnect
- Delete the HP Sprocket app again.
- Go to Bluetooth settings on your phone and “Forget” the Sprocket.
- Restart your phone.
- Reinstall the app from the App Store or Google Play.
- Open the app and pair the printer again.
4. Check for Firmware Updates
- In the app, go to Menu > Sprocket > Printers > Your Printer > Printer Settings.
- Tap Update Firmware if available.
5. Try a Different Power Source
- If you're using a power bank or surge protector, try plugging the printer directly into a wall outlet.
- Some users have reported power inconsistencies, causing the printer to freeze mid-job
I hope this helps.
Take care, and have an amazing day!

Hello,
One additional detail after unsuccessfully trying the fix below. After the photo finishes sending from app queue and disappears ,the printer generally is left blinking intermittently (maybe once every second and a half, a somewhat slow pace), and the only time it blinks quickly is when a new photo is sent to print, but these new prints never go through.
