iTunes is not a webOS app.  It won't run or open!

MIME type errors are going to show on the device anytime you are trying to access (download) a file that is not supported by the device. This could range from .exe files to something like .js

I get the same error message when trying to open a PDF file stored on my 50Gb box.net storage and their is a PDF app on my HP Touchpad.

I get this error when trying to open a PDF from my box.net space and I know there is a PDF reader on my HP Touchpad.

I use a site which is common for payroll pdf's in canada called epost.  When trying to open a pdf file in an integrated display with the browser it downloads a file called displayMailStream_... The icon is showing PDF.  Unfortunately when clicking on Open the response I get is: Cannot open MIME type.  I do have adobe reader installed as came with my touchpad.  Is it possible to have this passed from the browser to the adobe reader app to open? When looking further into the document properties I noticed...

File: displayMailStream.a

Subject: AFP Transformed to PDF

Keywords: A2PDF

Is it possible this format could also be opened by the adobe reader app but the mime type has not yet been assigned?

I get the "cannot open MIME type" when I try to view/download a PDF file.  I have tried several files from several web sites.  Always the same result.  If I download these files to my computer and copy them over to the tablet, Adobe Reader on the tablet will read them with no problem.  So the problem is not the Reader or the individual web site.  HPWebOS should support the download of PDF files or they shouldn't load the Reader.  The utility of the tablet is greatly reduced if HP does not support this file type.

I have only just bought this so that I can take bookings on the move for my hotel.

I tried to download my booking software which is an .msi file.

I got the 'cannot open MIME' message.

No problem. Looked it up and there apear to be solutions howevr all of the sulutions I try to download give me the same message.

Its looking like this touchpad is virtually useless unless I want to surf the net or socialise.
