- It depends on the website. The website that lets you click a link to "download PDF file" will let you see the document in adobe. On the other hand, the website that opens PDF doc in the web page itself will give you this error message. The web os browser must be missing a cookie or something else (I have no technical knowledge of this), that will not let you see it. Bottom line, web os browser does not support PDF docs

Hello,
I suggest for the time being you download all files that you would like to view on the HP touchpad to your pc first. Once you have created a folder that contains the files you should connect your touchpad to your pc with the USB cable. Its important that you open the HP touch from the my computer window. Drag and drop the files from the folder you create to the HP touchpad. Once you complete the drag and drop you will need to use the drop down menu when clicking on the HP touch device from the my computer window. Click eject. The HP touchpad will change from USB mode and return to the menu. If you dragged ay PDFs, word doc, or excel spreadsheets the will appear once you open the Quickoffice app. They will all be accessible for view and edit.any photos or converted to mp4 video will be automatically located under the picture and video app. Ebooks if purchased through amazon will be in the kindle app. All free ebooks will located in any other ereader app you download. I have been successful doing it this way. Good luck

Does anyone have any suggestions yet?
I've read several other forums including this one and nobody seems to have a suggestion. Did I miss it? Smart people, you know who you are, let's get crackin'.
Thanks in advance!

BTW, I just had a private chat with "Stacy" at the "Help, Live Chat" feature on the TouchPad. She confirmed to me as well that the engineer team is aware of the problem, the problem is well defined and that they are working on it. That team cannot comment on future release/bug fix timings (of course).
In meantime, I've saved to my laptop the dozens of .pdf's that I could not download via TP and transferred them via USB to my TP.
I've also been able to email the .pdf's to myself from the laptop and they open just fine on the TP.
Thanks all in advance!
Love the elegency of the WebOS.

Most of the files that I have had a problem with lost the file extension when I downloaded them. I haven't had a problem with files from Box.net but when I download a file (like pdf or ppt files) from email it's usually a problem. I'm using Gemini File Manager. It is $2.99 in the apps catalogue. It's not the only choice but it's what I am familiar with--very easy to rename the file and then open it.
