Hi

I have an HP Omni 10 Tablet with oc2722 camera and it has an error on it in control panel - error is This device cannot start. (Code 10)  STATUS_DEVICE_POWER_FAILURE - If I update the driver or delete it and search, I get the message that I already have the most up to date driver.

Any ideas?

Many thanks

Hi @kbc18, welcome to the HP Forums. I understand your Camera driver is reporting that it is unable to start. The camera driver appears to be a part of the Chipset driver package. You can try a refresh or restore to help the issue, if the driver is unable to be uninstalled and reinstalled:

If that fails, you might have to do a complete factory reset to verify it is not a hardware failure.

Thanks for your reply and suggestions. I have now tried a refresh and later a full reset. Neither solved the problem and the System devices/Camera Sensor OV2722 listing in device manager still has a ! warning triangle. Also, the front facing camera appears to be lit at all times when the tablet is on, but is not available for Skype etc.

I think this needs to go back. The most frustrating purchase I have ever made, this is a supposed refurb & checked replacement for the first one I sent back due to freezing problems.

Third time lucky perhaps but so shoddy from HP. You'd think having sent a replacement one all the way to UK from Czech Republic, that it would be perfect.

Thanks again.

Did I say something wrong? Have you deleted my reply..?

Well my post count is 3 and only 2 posts survive

I did a refresh and later a reset and still no front facing camera - and still the ! yellow triangle in device manager. Looks like I need a replacement. This is a replacement I have now, so on to HP Tablet number 3.

Unless there is anything else I can try? But it seems hardware is the problem.
