Success!!! Now my slate 21 is running on 4.4.2!!! Thanks HP!! For all slate 21 pro user that wants to update to 4.4.2 please try my step!!

Welcome!! Not even got 4.4.2, i also can install microsoft office for tablet from google play store now! Yeah!!

I did this and now it shows up "waiting to download " ! Now I wait! Hope it kicks off soon!

The update worked and fix some issues I had with the tablet and certain apps.  Glad they finally sent the update!

Now my slate 21 is updated to 4.4.2 try this step below:

1. Factory reset your slate 21 pro
2. Wait until it finished
3. After it restart, set up your slate 21
4. Update all your aplication on google play store
5. Wait util all updates finished
6. Open setting and update your slate 21 (it will take a very long time to wait)

Hope it can help you to get 4.4.2 os.

would agree with the above, I tried a simple upgrade from the menu, system locked up, crashes, errors etc.  Did a power off system reset by pressing the two outer buttons andd power button, wiped it, and after several more issues with booting, the system is up and running nicely.  UNTIL....I rebooted it again, and it just crashes and crashes at either the HP splash screen or Lock Screen. Sometimes I can get into it for a few seconds, then locks up. I cleared the CACHE, same thing. Frustrated. 

Also I do wish the dual split screen had more options such as just one app on half so that I can use icons or widgets on the other side, but it still says BETA.......

Hi everyone,
It seems my Slate 21 pro fails the verification check when downloading the OTA update, even after resetting to factory defaults. Does anyone else have this problem?
