Obtained a Targus "WallyWorld Special" SDHC reader that seems to work very well. Loaded 7.3GB of mp3s on the card. Pocket Tunes worked as described above (card still appears as blank line on list). Running another app along with Pocket Tunes caused a "crash"--very typical in a typical LifeDrive user's world. After the lenghthy and typical soft-reset necessary from LifeDrives. the card developed some type of I/O error. I thought the card was damaged somehow or defective. I re-inserted the card the next morning into the targus reader--expecting that an ominous re-format was necessary--instead, tune icons were visble as usual. Re-inserted card into LifeDrive--I/O error is gone and card (mysteriously) works normally! (?) I suspect that the Palm "software" (in the "Palm" folder) on the card was corrupted, yet the corruption was later corrected.

Hello,

I just got a Palm Tungsten E2 and it does not recognize a sd card at all. A friend of mine had a 32mb Multimedia card and it did recognize that one, but not luck with the sd cards... Helpppp

I guess the question that I have is does the tungten e2 works with sd cards or just multimedia cards?

Help!!!

pilinky7658, the E2 works fine with up to (and including) a 1Gig SD card.  Anything larger, or of the "SD HC" (High Capacity) type of SD card will not work.

Aren't MMC cards old tech that's no longer manufactured? SD/SDHC more competently takes MMC's place now. (Likely next to cease pestering us, also, is xD, the darling child of Fuji and Olympus--nowadays, relatively pricey and limited to 2GB: Even those companies, as indicated by their newer camera lines, have thrown in the towel and now bow to the throne of SD/SDHC!) I own an ADATA 2GB MMC card that works fine in cameras--as indicated before on another post, I was puzzled why it didn't work in the Lifedrive, yet, it did work in my Tungsten E....

Anyway, I haven't had anymore issues with I/O errors concerning my Lifedrive and the SDHC 8GB PNY card--the combo does as it's now intended. I'm concsidering naming my card--maybe then it will show up on the lists of input devices. By the way, neither tune icons nor alphabetical lists of tunes show up when the flash card info icon is pressed on the LIfe Drive, after navigation away from the "Life Drive" storage icon. Nothing at all is visible except a background. Pocket tunes and MMplayer do allow tune visibility and navigation....

I have been using a Palm T/X with a 2.0GB Scan Disk card for music storage for a few years with no problems whatsoever.

I have a Treo 680 and just switched from a 2GB SD card to a 4GB SDHC card, which is working great.
