I am having the same problem. My Omni 10 stops registering touch. The first time I had the problem I had a bluetooth keyboard that was already paired with the tablet, so I was able to get into it and played around with some of the settings. It randomly started working though I didn't actually get the touch settings changed.

This time, I just returned from a trip from vacation and I have lost my bluetooth keyboard so now I have no way to unlock the tablet without going and buying another keyboard that I can attatch to it. I have restarted it by holding the power button down 5 times now and still don't have touch. Any help to get a permanent fix would be awesome.

Hi @Vikas_007  and @zendragon  , welcome to the HP Forums. I understand you are losing touch functionality intermittently.

Try the troubleshooting outlined in this document, and let me know how it turns out:

It seems that one of the Windows Updates is causing some conflict with the touchscreen driver/firmware. Try the following steps as a temporary work around until HP can come up with a permanent fix.

1. As you power on the Omni 10, press the hardware Volume Down button to get into the BIOS menu

2. Select BIOS Setup (if the touchscreen is not responding, you'll need to plug in a USB mouse via a micro USB male to USB female adapter)

3. Select Exit on the LEFT side of the screen

4. Select Load Setup Defaults on the RIGHT side of the screen & select Yes

5. Select Exit Saving Changes on the RIGHT side of the screen & select Yes

After the restart, the touchscreen should work again.

I followed the link and discovered that my pen and touch is not enabled. I attempted to reboot, as the link suggested, but instead of taking me to the normal Windows Bios, I get an HP Splash screen that has a Bios that I cannot change. I have no way to go into Computer Setup to check to see if I can just turn on all USB Ports. I have a feeling they are all enabled though because I then did a system restore and I still don't have touch. Now it is completely out, no matter how many restarts I have done it has not returned.

Hi,
on my Omni 10 the BIOS workaround just works temporary. The touch screen stops working after a few minutes and sometime when doing the reboot to recover again the touch, the system crashes (blue screen). I also tried a system restore without any success. I'm in the condition to have a tablet that I can't use.
Has anyone found a good and durable workaround?
Any plan by HP to resolve the issue permanently?

Same issue as the first post. Everything on the tablet is up to date (firmware / BIOS) and Windows updates.
