Hello UniSys,
welcome to the Polycom Community.
It is always useful to include the currently used UC Software version as issues experienced or a question asked may already be addressed in a newer release.
This also allows yourself and others to check against current software release notes, Administrator Guides or FAQ post’s.
The above is also stated in the "Read First"

You may also want to post your MAC address so I can look up of this is a Skype for Business, a LYNC or a Generic SKU

Hello UniSys,
this is fine.
You should be able to boot the Phone and it should either offer Extension and PIN or Single Sign On.
If PIN and Extension is not presented then your Option 43 / 120 is not setup.
Jul 11, 2014 Question: Why can we not sign into LYNC via Pin & Extension?
Resolution: Please verify that the phone has the => correct time <= and the Option 43 and Option 120 is setup in the DHCP scope as explained =>here <= or => here <=
The simplest way is via the Web Interface. Ensure it is enabled

Steffen, thanks for the helpful links.
Time is correct, DHCP is set with DHCPUtil.exe. So I try to sign-in via Web Interface. This step does not work. Message "Signing-in into Microsoft Lync" stays forewer.
This part of log files looks strange for me (Web Interface > Diagnostic > View and Download Logs)

Lync server setup and certificate is done by outsourced company. But regular Skype for Business desktop app works fine.
Is there something I can try myself before I contact outsourced company?

The phone cannot validate the Certificate.
Is there a certificate on the phone as usually the AD Server should be able to provide this via LYNC / Skype for Business.
Have a read => here <= and you only need the part about the certificate and get it on the Phone via sec.TLS.customCaCert.1. Basically get the certificate and create a file and import via the Web Interface.

You still have the same error and the DNS does not seem to be setup as well.
I would need to troubleshoot your network and as this is outside the scope of the Polycom community please work with WESTCON GROUP EUROPEAN OPERATIONS LTD who sold this phone back in 04/07/2016
