I'm trying to create a config file to import into a Trio 8800. I want to add the below config parameter. I've added this via the RPRM Provisioning server but it's not present on the phone, even though the Prov server indicates that it is. I've tried uploading and XML file with this parameter but it doesn't take. Not sure if I'm structuring or formating the XML file correctly. I've tried using the 'export_all.cfg' file as a template and no luck.
se.touchFeedback.enabled="0"
Thanks,
Chad

Hello @quintoca,
welcome to the Polycom Community.
It is always useful to include the currently used UC Software version as issues experienced or a question asked may already be addressed in a newer release.
This also allows yourself and others to check against current software release notes, Administrator Guides or FAQ post’s.
The above is also stated in the "Must Read First" and is the absolute minimum requirement every new post should include. .
In addition providing us with this basic information gives Polycom an idea what Software Versions are used in the field and avoids wasting time trying to troubleshoot issues which have already been addressed.
Therefore the Polycom VoIP FAQ contains this post here:
In addition this parameter was only added to UC Software 5.5.2 or later
Question: How can I find out my SIP or UC Software Version of my Phone?
Resolution: Please check here
Stating all of the above the parameter:
se.touchFeedback.enabled
is disabled by default so there is no need to add this and it will not show up in any backup therefore.
RPRM would have thrown an XML formatting error if the format would be wrong as well.
Please always check the admin guide / release notes or the polycomConfig.XSD file for default parameters.
Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.
Best Regards

Hi Steffan,
We are running 5.5.2.11338 on our Trios. I created the config profile on RPRM and applied to a Trio. The config parameter is present in the Provisioning File on RPRM. It is not showing up on the device. So I tried to create an XML file and import via the web GUI of the Trio. No such luck.
Are you saying that default config parameters such as this will not show up??
What I am trying to accomplish is, when in a Skype meeting if a remote attendee mutes the Trio it makes a beep. It also beeps when someone joins or leaves the meeting and also when someone begins to share content. Is there a way to stop the beeping?
Thanks,
Chad

I have a case open for a very similar issue where LLDP won't disable on the VVX phones and Trios, even though I am setting it and pushing it with RPRM. Same symptoms. They just informed me that they were able to recreate the issue and resolve if by also setting the following parameters:
Polycom case #: 1-7727528302
device.set = 1
device.net.lldpEnabled.set = 1
device.net.lldpEnabled = 1
I'm trying to understand what 'device.set' and 'device.net.lldpEnabled.set' parameters do and why they're required. Anything you are aware of or can explain?
Thanks,
Chad

Hello Chad,
just to officially follow this up as this sounds like 1-7562582309 / VESC-8142
In order to raise a support ticket you need to work with your Polycom reseller as they need to do this for you.
End Customers are unable to open a ticket directly with Polycom support.
If this is some sort of an Internet discounter please post either your phone's MAC address or your Polycom devices serial so I can look up who would be able to support you. This may not be who you purchased the Polycom device from.
Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.

Hello Chad,
The community's VoIP FAQ contains this post here:
Jul 25, 2013 Question: How can I setup certain Device parameters on my phone via a configuration file?
Resolution: Please check => here <=
Please ensure you always check the community FAQ and/or utilize the community search before posting any new topics or follow up post’s.
Any device. parameter needs to be initially activated by setting device.set="1" or it is ignored.
If you want to disable LLDP simply set this:
device.set="1" device.net.lldpEnabled.set="1" device.net.lldpEnabled="0"
