polycom ccx 600
Android 9.0 Pie

We have 20 Polycom CCX600 phones in a Teams phone system. Each is logged on with an azure account and each has contacts that we've entered to every phone's mailbox. These are for numbers for security staff, shift leads etc. The only way we can get numbers is to add them to the speed dial after making a call, but this only gets us a list of numbers that we can't add names to.

We can log into web Teams or desktop Teams and see the contacts just fine, but they don't show up on the phones under "People" all contacts or anywhere on these phones. I'm desperately trying to find a way to add contacts to these phones, but it simply doesn't work.

I have an open case with Microsoft too, but we don't seem to be getting anywhere.

Phone firmware 8.1.6.1006

Device settings version 2.0.5

Partner Agent Version 1.2.0

Company Portal Version 5.0.5484.0

Teams version 1449/1.0.94.2024071104/0711

Calling Version 2024.10.01.10

Does anyone have any ideas on how to add contacts?

Thanks!

Hello @bendparks ,

welcome to the HP Poly community.

As this is Microsoft Teams related due to their Microsoft Android Teams app I suggest you try

Please provide feedback here in case other volunteers run into the same issue.

As I said in my original post, I am working with Microsoft on this and thought I'd see if anyone had a solution this specific problem that only occurs on Polycom CCX 600 phones. Seemed worth a shot that HP might have some insight on how their Teams dedicated phones might work in a Teams environment.

Hello @bendparks ,

as you can see from my signature I am just a volunteer.

This is not a replacement for the official HP Poly support organisation and no Product managers are in this community.

I just wanted to set your expectations correctly and suggest a place where you could potentially find an answer before Microsoft support getting back to you.

Other volunteers are welcome to comment or suggest

Best regards

Very much appreciated. I'm a bit jumpy since HP has been telling me to talk to Microsoft and Microsoft is telling me to work with HP. I really thought this Microsoft / HP solution would be better than it is. Thanks for your help!

Hello @bendparks

first of all a reminder:

  1. The HP Poly community is not an official replacement for the HP Poly support organization
  2. People replying in the HP Poly community are volunteers

Now that this is cleared up and stated do you think that our Partner Microsoft:

  1. Consults Apple or Google around the design and working of their Microsoft Teams Application as an example around an iPhone or any other Apple or Android Product?

Microsoft offers the Microsoft Teams Application to their OEM partners like HP Poly or others based on the design of what the minimum Hardware limitations would be. If they operate within these limitations they get a certification.

Outside of this, it is all down to our Partner how or what you can do with their Application.

This is similar to hardware manufacturers that sell for example a Computer running Windows 11.

I do hope this clears things up and that you can look at the suggested locations for an answer to solve your issue and come back and help others by documenting how you solved this.

Best regards
