Hello,
I've purchased a VVX500 to test with a Skype for Business Online (Office365) system but no matter what I try I cannot get our Exchange contacts to display on the handset. I've tried various types of firmware but contacts just do not seem to sync to this device. All other features work correctly, but if this feature doesn't function properly we wouldn't be able to use Polycom for our environment.
Using favourites or manually added "other contacts" (which does seem to work) isn't feasible for a 500 seat system. We don't have a support contract and our supplier doesn't support this type of issue.
Please assist if possible.
Many thanks,
Rob Symmons

Hello Rob,
welcome to the Polycom Community.
It is always useful to include the currently used UC Software version as issues experienced or a question asked may already be addressed in a newer release.
Please state the software versions you did test this with.
This also allows yourself and others to check against current software release notes, Administrator Guides or FAQ post’s.
The above is also stated in the "Must Read First" and is the absolute minimum requirement every new post should include. .
In addition providing us with this basic information gives Polycom an idea what Software Versions are used in the field and avoids wasting time trying to troubleshoot issues which have already been addressed.
Therefore the Polycom VoIP FAQ contains this post here:
Question: How can I find out my SIP or UC Software Version of my Phone?
Resolution: Please check here
The only way to get any contacts to display on the Phone is using the Skype for Business Client and adding these as Favorites.
This is an individual per account used action that needs to be done manually on the PC or Mac which is using the same account as the phone in question.
I may have missunderstood the issue that you have as you mention exchange contacts. You can search for these via the search function.
The only other way you could archive what I assume you are after is using the described method => here <=.
You will need a provisioning server as shown => here <= and create a CSV file which phones can load with a list of contacts (depends on the type of phone having keys).
To be fair this is maybe something you should contact our support team directly via the reseller that sold the phone originally.
In order to raise a support ticket you need to work with your Polycom reseller as they need to do this for you. End Customers are usually unable to open a ticket directly with Polycom support.
If this is some sort of an Internet discounter please post either your phone's MAC address or your Polycom devices serial so I can look up who would be able to support you. This may not be who you purchased the Polycom device from.
Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.
Best Regards
