I am having trouble getting my Polycom VVX phones to upload log files and call logs to the directories I have specified in the master configuration file of my FTP server. I have the following settings in the file.

<APPLICATION APP_FILE_PATH="sip.ld" DECT_FILE_PATH="3111-17823-001.dect.ld" CONFIG_FILES="" SERVICE_FILES="" MISC_FILES="" LOG_FILE_DIRECTORY="/logs/" OVERRIDES_DIRECTORY="" CONTACTS_DIRECTORY="" LICENSE_DIRECTORY="" USER_PROFILES_DIRECTORY="" CALL_LISTS_DIRECTORY="/calls/" COREFILE_DIRECTORY="/logs/" CERTIFICATE_DIRECTORY="" FLK_DIRECTORY="">

I have corresponding folders created using those names under the root folder of the FTP server. Yet, the phones will only write their files to the root of the server and never write anything to the subfolders. I'm sure I'm doing something simple incorrectly, but I don't see what it is. A little assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Hello @Dennis Ervin ,

Welcome to the Poly Community.

Both the communities Must Read First and the FAQ reference the basic minimum information a new or follow-up post should contain.

Your post falls somehow short of the requirement. We have not seen any FTP or Phone logs so we do not know if the phone is even reading the file you state above.

I suggest you change the logging on the phone as follows:

Settings > Logging > Global Settings > Global Log Level Limit > Log File Size (Kbytes) > VVX/SPIP/SSIP prior to 5.5.0 = 180
Settings > Logging > Global Settings > Global Log Level Limit > Log File Size (Kbytes) > Trio 8300 & VVX after 5.5.0 = 1000
Settings > Logging > Global Settings > Global Log Level Limit > Log File Size (Kbytes) > Trio or CCX 10240
Settings > Logging > Module Log Level Limits > CURL > Event 3
Settings > Logging > Module Log Level Limits > Copy Utilities > Event 3
