Polycom phones CXX500 and CXX505, used with MS Teams. I cannot find product documentation that details how to Call Forward these phones. Eventually found it on the phone itself, but not intuitive. Are there any documented instructions?

Hello @nanart ,
welcome to the HP Poly community.
You have posted in an incorrect section and a volunteer has moved your post. It has been moved to a section that is more suitable for you.
As you may be aware the UI you see, when using our Phones with our Partner Microsoft as a Teams phone, is designed and controlled by our partner Microsoft. This is the same for all other OEM Partners that use Microsoft Teams.
Any change or complaint would need to go to our Partner Microsoft.
Other volunteers may reply.
Best Regards
Steffen Baier

The polycom quick tips sheet, for these phones, with MS Teams, does reference other features, e.g. call park, also a teams feature, which is what prompted the question regarding call forwarding. On the CCX500, the feature was found in the admin settings and the access was added to the main screen (voice mail too). On the CCX505, also found in the admin settings but cannot add to the phone screen. Although we found this through trial and error, we wanted to know if it was documented anywhere in Polycom.

Hello @nanart
I am unsure which guides you are referring to so it would help if you could share some urls for these.
In regards to the design or the change over the years, you are best advised to check the Microsoft Page as they completely control the UI design and any menus.
Also, the Teams Admin Center can be utilized to activate features or disable these, again you would need to consult with Microsoft directly or with your Teams Admin on this.
So far we do not even know the Poly CCX software version and more importantly the Microsoft Teams application software version.
Best regards

Our customer forwarded the quick tips sheet.
Quick Tips for Poly CCX Business Media Phones with Microsoft Teams

Quick Tips for Poly CCX Business Media Phones with Microsoft Teams (hp.com)
From the end user: I got a screen shot off the ccx505.
The CCX505 shows everything up to date (even though its 2022)
FW 8.0.2.3267
Teams app 1449/1.0.94.2022110803
I do not yet have the FW and TeamsApp for the CCX500

The ccx500 is firmware 8.1.4.1480 and MS Teams app is 1449/1.0.94.2024011003. In the admin settings of the ccx500, they enabled advanced calling to get the Call Forward and Voice mail icons on the main screen. The ccx505, in the phones admin settings, they found the Call forward and voice mail settings but cannot put the icons on the main screen for easy user access. Again, this finding was through pecking around, no documentation in Poly or MS for these phones. Our customer was hoping there was something documented somewhere

Hello @nanart
again, I may sound like I am repeating myself, but Poly, just like any other OEM Vendor that offers phones that can run the Microsoft Teams application relies on our Partner Microsoft to provide the documentation.
Just like Apple or Android would not provide an Admin Guide for any applications running on their devices. This may not be fully comparable as these are not dedicated devices in my example. A bit similar to us at HP selling PCs running a Microsoft OS. We can provide basic instructions but ultimately it is down to our partner Microsoft to guide users on features as HP does not influence the design of Microsoft Windows or Microsoft Office.
We as OEM partners can only provide guides but they will be out of date once our Partner Microsoft updates its UI and adds or removes or changes features.
All of this also depends on what kind of account is being used, for example, a CAP account, would not have the same feature set as another account. An Admin can enable or disable features too.
Other volunteers can try and reply as well but from my end I suggest you contact Microsoft support if you have any questions or suggestions for their Application.
EDIT: Our phones have a screenshot capability (check our VoIP FAQ) which can enable you to provide your own Admin Guides based on your requirements.
Best regards

Thank you Stephen. It appears there aren't any documents available that describe the call forwarding "how to" at Poly or MS. One last question. The CCX505. No updates beyond 2022 that you know of?

Hello @nanart
all CCX phones receive the same software. The exception to this is the CCX 350 or the CCX 505 as these were only introduced at a later stage.
This aside all current CCX phones run PVOS software. I explain the difference between PVOS and UC Software in the general VoIP FAQ.
The latest Microsoft Teams-supported Version for CCX is PVOS 8.1.5 >here<
I usually add the URL to the older version as well into the post. These posts also include any Partner Application version available in the software release.
I am unaware what Version our Partner Microsoft pushes to the phone once logged in to Microsoft Teams and checking via the Microsoft TAC.
You have the option to update the CCX via the Web Interface or using a local provisioning server or Poly Lens online (details in the general VoIP FAQ)
If you still struggle please await other community volunteers to respond or open a support ticket via our dedicated team.
Best Regards
