Hi, done!

 

The reason for me to update to the new firmware version is because I have a PC with windows 11 where the HP 625 WebCam faces too many instability issues. So i give it a try. But it was better for HP to specify what changes or fixes where in 1002 firmware. Thank you very much.

I have just been informed that Poly Lens Desktop will be replaced by a new Application. 

 

Once I have more details I will share this in the Poly Lens section Poly Software - HP Support Community

I have just used v1.5.1 of Poly Lens to successfully update the firmware on the camera. @9auloTxR - thanks for the heads up on using v1.5.1.

 

Hopefully the replacement app will be able to successfully update camera firmware unlike the current latest version of Poly Lens.

Well I did some digging and testing for anyone who this might help.

 

I'm running Windows 11 and am attempting to Upgrading an HP 625 FHD Webcam from firmware version 1000 to 1002.

 

Tried to upgrade from ver 1000 to ver 1002 using Poly Lens Desktop 2.3.0 via automation and custom software load - Failed

 

Upgraded Poly Lens Desktop to version 2.3.1 then tried again to update Firmware from ver 1000 to ver 1002 via automation and custom software load - Failed

 

Upgraded to the new Poly Studio version 5.0.0.160 then tried to update Firmware from ver 1000 to ver 1002 via automation - Success

 

The following issue was noted as being resolved with the new Poly Studio version 5.0.0.160. It has to do with a different model of the HP web cam but there could be some commonality to the upgrade process being used.

Resolved issues

This release includes the following bug fixes.

The issue with updating the HP 960/965 4k streaming webcam from software version 1001 to 1002 has now been resolved.
