Hello,
I manage 63 Poly Rove 30 handsets with B2 bases across multiple school buildings. Each summer, the schools perform a deep clean, during which many phones are disconnected for several weeks.
When this happens, the Teams Admin Center correctly shows these devices as “Offline” in the health status, which is expected since the handset or both the handset and base are disconnected.
However, when I returned from vacation this year, I found that almost all of the Rove devices had completely disappeared from the Teams Admin Center. As a result, we had to physically visit each school to sign the phones back in to Teams.
These phones are configured as Common Area Phones under Common Area Devices → SIP Devices. They should not be disappearing from the portal without any manual action.
Has anyone experienced this issue or can provide guidance on how to prevent it?
Thanks.

This is how we do it now...
Step One: Get the sign in URL for the Rove phone you are looking for...In this case I am looking for 0382A48411. Search for 0382A48018 in SYSLOG and you are looking for an entry that looks like this...
https://.microsoft.com/device/softkey.php/mmiiaacc/0004f20004f2000382A484111757393356UlsD0FFRf9osd9JEphhF/
If you do not see this URL line with the softkey.php you may need to wait and search again in a bit, or your syslog settings may be different than mine.
Step Two: Paste that URL into a new browser and go to it...It will return something like this...
https://aka.ms/siplogin Pair Code:B2BN4EM9C Select Exit When Done Sign in a user Exit
Step 3: Start a new incognito browser and go to https://aka.ms/siplogin
Sign in as the set using the login and password and it will then prompt you for the "Enter pair code to add a device" you have the code in the returned page from Step Two. Enter it and the rove is signed in.
Note...the forum removed some "invalid HTML" so not sure if this will even make sense to you now.

Hello Ootpek,
I didn’t know it was possible to do a remote sign-in on the Poly Rove devices. It would be greatly appreciated if you could share your experience and explain how you do it. We don’t have the resources to manually reconnect all of our Poly Rove units.
Here is a website that helped us provision our Poly Rove devices in the SIP Devices section of the Teams Admin Center:
ucmadscientist.com/poly-rove-is-a-teams-dect-phone-its-more-likely-than-you-think-howto/
Many thanks in advance for your help.

Hello, I just wanted to let you know that I did a remote log-in using your method, and it worked perfectly. This is going to make my day-to-day much easier, and I hope it will also help others in the community who face the same challenge as me. Thank you very much for your help—I really appreciate it.
