Imagine this scenario:
You just got in a new computer with Windows 8. You open the box and get the unit started up for the first time. As you get the PC up and going; you look over at your trusted HP printer and decide to get it connected to this new PC. You remember: “I have a CD that came with the printer” and try putting the disc in to load the drivers to get back to printing the needs of the day. Upon attempting to run the drivers, the PC informs you that the drivers are not compatible with this version of the OS. What to do now?
Fear not. HP has you covered! Try the HP Printer Install Wizard.
Example of the Printer Install Wizard window:
- Have you recently installed Windows 8 or upgraded to Windows 8?
- Do you need to install an HP printer?
- Do you need to install an HP printer?
If this is the case, then you are in luck. HP has built a tool that is able to search, find, and install the proper full feature drivers for HP Printers in both Windows 7 and Windows 8. This is a one stop shop that will keep you from having to search and find if a driver is available.
The HP Printer Install Wizard can be found by clicking on this link:
There is a great document with step by step instructions on how to use the wizard:

Happy Printing!
