I'm running Windows 10 and recently, I decided to update my drivers using Driver Booster. Everything was working fine and I didn't have any previous problems with this laptop or Windows 10. Once I finished updating them, it prompted me to reboot my comupter, and after it started back up, the touch screen no longer worked. Because of this, I'm almost certain its a driver problem. I've looked on other forums and have tried a lot of the suggestions. So far I have
- Restarted my laptop (countless times)
-Disabled and Enabled the "HID- compliant wireless radio controls"
- Unchecked the boxes that say "allow this computer to turn off this device to save power" under the "Universial Serial Bus Controllers"
-Updated the drivers (it just tells me that the best version is already installed)
- I haven't restored the laptop because I'm not entirely sure how to properly do so.
It won't let me roll back the touch screen drivers. When I choose "show hidden devices" extra touch screen drivers appear, but ones like the "HID- compliant touch screen" say "Currently, this hardware device is not connected to the computer. (Code 45)
To fix this problem, reconnect this hardware device to the computer." under the device status.
I have no idea how to reconnect the hardware and I don't understand how it even go unconnected.
I'm so beyond confused and frustrated and don't know what else to do. Please help if you think you might know what to do! Any advice is appreciated. Thank you!
