Product: HP 15r237
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)
I lost the battery for my HP laptop and bought a replacement on the internet. It works fine, but I noticed that the new battery is rated at 14.8v, whereas the charger is rated at 19.5v. I don't know what voltage the original battery was.
I asked a friend who told me that usually the voltage of charger and battery should be the same, but that some laptops can have a higher voltage charger and only send the correct voltage to charge the battery.
Does anybody know if this is the case with my HP 15r237, or do I need to either buy a 14.8v charger or a 19.5v battery?
