I've been trying to scan in something I drew today, and the scanner isn't able to pick up on the lighter shades of pencil because the scanning ligth is so bright it washes the image out. Is there a way to lower the intensity of the light? The "brightness" slider is not the same thing, that just digitally increases or decreases the brightness of the actual scanned image, which doesn't change the lighter shades of grey from being being washed out.
