This is a little old but I'm having the same problem with my 6830 printer. Cartridges are very expensive costing more than the printer itself so I use alternative pigment ink. Recently I bought a set of rechargeable cartridges 934/935 witch are transparent and we can see the ink level while using. I have used these ink in original cartridges without problem but when using the same ink in rechargeable cartridges the colors became incorrect. I noticed that yellow and magenta were faded comparing with original cartridge (filled with the same ink). It appears that the printer firmware noticing the alternative cartrige turns off or changes the internal ICC profile so the colors mixing become incorrect. What was green now shows as a kind of cyan because there is less yellow ink available. The printer driver does not allow to control ink levels and I could not find or create a new ICC profile to correct this issue. Hope someone can help me to use my alternative cartridges.
