I play online games on my laptop, WoT, DOTA, etc. and everything worked flawlessly until the past few days, I was getting a ping of 30-90ms but for last few days i was getting heavy lag spikes periodically. i troubleshooted my connection and found out that i has something to do with my laptop's wifi because all other devies connected to the same network works fine and only my laptop had this issue.

So, I tried pinging my router from the laptop and this is the result.

as you can see it periodically goes upto 1971ms ping just to the router, that's nearly 2 seconds without connection.

I tried the same test litreally 10 cm away from my router, to check whether any obstructions were causing it and the results were same.

i tried pinging the router with other devices, my phone and pc, both have no issues and max pings hit by both the other device was 3ms.

Has the wifi card in my laptop developed a fault?
