HP Officejet Pro 8610 e-All-in-One Printer series
Other

iMac and MacBook Air both running OS X 10.13.2. HP software is current. Print wirelessly and printer states wireless on and connected.  Trying to print Word doc and Pages doc. Receive screen msg re: printer stating at different attempts "The Printer is not connected; Printing - Looking for printer" and "Idle. Printer is not responding".

Using prior experience instructions I have 1) turned off printer, computer, router; 2) removed power cords from printer and router; 3) waited 30 seconds; 4) plugged back in power cords on printer and router; powered on router; 5) powered on perinter and computer. Printer not working from  either computer.

Can (and successfully did) print from the printer itself "Wireless Network Test Results" and "HP Network Configuration Page" with the latter displaying "Wireless Direct - Status - OFF".  Did printer factory reset.   Did new wireless setup to router and got message connected.  Reprinted "HP Network Configuratiion Page" to check and "Wireless Direct - Status - Off" is still present.  Printer still won't print.

Do not know what to try next.  Thoughts?  Directions?
