HP DeskJet 2130 All-in-One Printer series
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello.

I am running into some issues while trying to get my DeskJet 2130 Printer to work with my Windows 10 64-bit PC.

To briefly summarize what happens:

1) As I connect the printer to my PC with a USB cable, the device is correctly being recognized as DeskJet 2130. I also get the Windows "device ready to use" notification in the corner of my screen.

2) However, as I attempt to print any document, the device is not listed amongst available printers.

3) The scanner, on the other hand, is fully functional and accessible through the PC software.

Upon using the HP Print and Scan Doctor software, I was informed that there are some pieces of software missing.

So I hit the HP website, downloaded the "HP DeskJet 2130 series Full Feature Software and Drivers".

I can, however, only go as far as Step 2 in the installation process.

When I plug in the printer the moment I being requested to do so, I get a "failed USB connection" message alongside a red cross icon.

Additional information:

* the exact same printer works with a different Windows 10 device (a notebook) - I am using the same cable, so I can also be sure that the cable is not the cause of the problem

* it used to work with the PC as well, but not since I've formatted and reinstalled the OS

Any help will be greatly appreciated, as I've been trying to figure this out on my own for the past couple of hours. :Crying:

Kind Regards,
