Hello!

 

I am looking for some assistance from the community, and HP Support, to determine the best way to securely wipe an HP Printer when we receive them back from clients.

 

We are working, internally, to develop a printer policy that will conform with our current security policy. We are aware that the newest generation of HP printers contain hard drives that will retain a history of scanned, and printed, items that could be recovered if the device is compromised.

 

I have heard that HP has a tool that they use for securely wiping these devices and I'm looking to either get access to this tool or what the approved process HP has developed for ensuring that any data on the printer is securely removed.
