Product: Deskjet Pro 8740
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

There were no helpful answers to the other questions I saw relating to flashing screens.

 

This printer is maybe 1 or 2 years old - yesterday it flashed blue screen with the error message B83B64EC.  Today it flashed a blank white screen.

 

Pressing the power button twice restarts the printer and it functions fine after that.

 

Please let me know if I need to get the thing serviced or if I should just trash it and start over. It was a BEAR to get working with the computer and has given us problems since the beginning - such as Macbooks needing to repeatedly install the driver to use it.
