Officejet Pro 8620
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

I have been using an Officejet Pro 8620 for about 3 years.  It has been great with very fast prints.  I liked it so much, I bought a 2nd one and kept it in storage for the day the first one would fail.  That day came last week and I pulled this new one out of the box and tried to do a clean install of the software on my Windows 7 Pro x64 computer.

I am using the printer wirelessly.

The issue is that it prints very slowly.  It even seems to print its interanal test reports slowly.  Right now, it takes about 35 seconds per page.  My previous Officejet (same model) was taking about 2 seconds per page.

I tried uninstallaling and reinstalling the software.

I tried clearing the spool temporary files.

I tried settting it up for Port 9100 operation with the instructions in this link: https://www.tidbitsfortechs.com/2016/09/slow-hp-printer/   (which worked until the printer did a firmware update, now its back to slow again)

Does anyone have a good solution to get me back to a good working printer again?

Thank you for any advise you can give!!!!
