Product: HP Officejet Pro 8620

Hi, my printer screen says Scanner Failure - Unable to scan copy or send a fax.  If I press any of these, there is an unusual noise coming from inside the machine.   However, I can still send things to print from my Mac computer and it prints fine.  Is the scanner dead.
