Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Since a few weeks my laptop doesn't charge anymore when powered on. No specific hardware/software changes were made around that time. When I connect the adapter, the indicator light turns white, the tray icon says the battery is charging for about 5 seconds, then says it's on battery power instead of net power. The indicator light stays white. When the laptop is turned off and the charger is plugged in, the indicator light is orange and the laptop charges normally.

 

I already tried some things:

The charging implies that the charger itself is still working (right?) so I'm not sure how to continue troubleshooting. Any help would be appreciated.
