The printhead is blocked on the right side by the residual ink tray being extended after powerup. During reset, the tray moves as it should, several times, but after the printhead does two passes to the left & right, and returns to the right, at the end of the reset sequence, the residue tray is again extended under the printhead, blocking it. Printer the reports carriage jam. It acts like the tray is 180 degrees out of sync with the rest of the printer. Or there is a bad position sensor - if there is one. There are absolutely no paper jams, and the residual ink tray is the only thing that is stopping the printhead.... This happened out of the blue after printing an item from notepad. I have done the "hard reset procedure" - Unplug while powered on, to no avail. Everything appears to move and operate normally till the end of the reset, when the tray extends again, when it should be retracted.
Thanks!
