After a windows 10 update my desktop is stuck in a windows installer loop trying to configure Photosmart Essentials and looking for the .msi file which does not exist on my computer.
I've tried stopping the installation process but it just goes into another configuration loop which stalls when it cant find the .msi file.
I've tried and failed to stop the installer process because the stop option is greyed out even as administrator.
I've tried to uninstall Photosmart Essentials but that wont complete because it detects the installer process running.
I'm thinking of starting in safe mode and then trying to uninstall Essentials but haven't tried this yet.
Most of the 'answers' seem to involve finding a good version of the .msi installer file but this doesn't seem to exist on legitimate sites.
Any suggestions?
