Product: Deskjet 6980 Driver
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Cannot install a driver for my 6980 printer. It is not listed in Windows update under any of the three HP lists. The windows driver does not automatically install as the video states. HP 123 has no driver either. I am trying to set it up as a network printer. It is seen by add a printer under under my printer is a little older. It is seen as - On HP5FF943 [Personal Information Removed] Hewlett Packard [Personal Information Removed] on my ip scanner. Why can I not install at least the generic windows driver. Does the PCL6 driver at the end of the update list work.

With some more looking around I found a CAB file on the MS site for 6980 Windows 10 but as yet I have been unable to figure out how to install it. None of the net instructions seem to work.

I do have my original disk and have tried to install the drivers through compatibility mode. I keep getting an error saying something about XP 64bit. I am sure this is a 32 bit driver.
