Hello!
First post here so I hope it's the right place.
I own a HP Chromebook, serial number [Private information removed], bought it in 2014. It works well but the fan has been making a loud noise since at least 2-3 years. I'll try to explain the problem. The fan is generally a bit noisy but nothing crazy, however when I move the laptop with the slightest movement the fan starts to make an extremely loud noise something like a vacuum cleaner, and I have to switch it off. This happens more often when room is cold (I mean less than 22 C (71 F), to the extent that I have to gently warm up the laptop with a hairdryer, but recently not even this is been working, which makes my chromebook unusable. I opened and cleaned every surface included the fan area with a compressed air can, but it didn't help.
I hope you can help me to solve the problem, perhaps the fan needs to be replaced, or is the model too old to find replacement parts?
Thank you in advance.
