Operating System: macOS 10.13 High Sierra

Today my printer stopped working and is giving me different OXB errors every time I try to reset it. I tried to reset by removing the ink cartridges and discovered the carriage is stuck all the way to the right and I can't remove the cartridges. Is there a way to release the carriage so I can remove the cartridges?
