Hi,
I’ve owned this printer for a number of years and has been working successfully on my original WiFi setup. However I’m now using a new router and WiFi setup. I’ve come to set this up on my new router and I cannot seem to set the printer up to utilise the wireless home network. The printer works perfectly when connected directly to the computer via USB cable, so I know it works.
When following the HP printer setup software on my PC as a new printer, it asks me to temporarily insert via USB but nothing happens. If I try to convert the USB connected printer to a wireless setup I eventually get the message as follows:
”The Printer and Computer are Connected to Different Routers”
My PC in connected to my router via Ethernet cable, my laptop is connected to the same router but wirelessly so I do not understand this message.
Has anyone else experienced this and have any tips or advice on how to correct this?
I’ve run the printer Network configuration page and it reports passes in terms of wireless connectivity.
Thanks in advance.
