Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

I have an HP Photosmart 5520 print/scan/copy/web that was working fine up until approximately a week ago. While it will print with no issues, it will not scan. The scan sequence will start and the scan bar will move to the top of the scan bed, the scan light will come on, and then nothing happens. Almost as if the scan bar is jammed or looking for a command to move. I have tried all of the recommended fixes (HP Scan and Printer Repair, turning off firewalls, etc.) and nothing seems to work.

 

Microsoft recently sent out an update but that did not seem to impact it at the time.

 

I have an HP Pavillion desktop and a Dell laptop accessing 5520 with similar results, so it would seem to be something in the printer/scanner.

 

Any assistance would be appreciated.
