My previous black ink cartridge ran out of ink so I bought an authentic black ink cartridge through HP on Amazon.
The printer doesn't recognize it, saying that 'the following ink cartridges must be replaced' with a symbol of the black ink.
I've already tried several hard resets, such as one outlined here:
I've also already done Steps 2 and 3 from here several times:
I have even switched the old, empty black cartridge back in and it gives the error message as well.
I have never ever had this issue when replacing cartridges in this printer.
I have a Mac and my partner has a PC, but this is the printer itself not recognizing the cartridge.
We haven't changed anything at all on our computers or the printer. The printer was working fine before this, just with little black ink.
Please help!!!
