My printer claims to have a paper jam and a tray out of alignment. None of those are true. When trying to power off the unit with the power button, it cycles endlessly, and won't power down. I have removed the power cord to shut it down. Upon re-installing it, I got the 0x61000048 error. I looked up the forums and followed the power cycle recommendations. Now I get the 0x6100004a error. The recommendations appear to be similar - i.e. resetting the power by disconnecting the cords. Nothing is working. I have installed new cartridges, and even after the recycle, I get this 0x6100004a error. When trying to "HIDE" the message and attempt a print, I see there are two jobs awaiting print, yet I am unable to clear them. When I select "Print", I do her the printer respond, but it immediately posts the message "There is a problem with the printer or print system. Turn the printer off, then on. if you continue to get this message, contact HP. 0x6100004a"
