Operating System: macOS 11.0 Big Sur

OFFICE JET PRO 6978J - "MAINTENANCE IN PROGRESS. DO NOT INTERRUPT" MESSAGE - BEEN LIKE THAT FOR OVER AN HOUR. Should I just unplug the machine and assume this is an error?
