Product: HP OfficeJet Pro 9015 All-in-One Printer

I refuse to keep uninstalling and installing this freaking software.  I am able to print.  I installed HP App years ago. I am unable to scan. I keep getting driver check not completed.  Other than take a hammer to this machine and buy a printer from another company I don't know what else to do.  I've done everything suggested and can even print from the HP App commands - I just want to know how to fix the scan problem so I can scan documents to my computer.
