Product: HP OfficeJet Pro 8725 All-in-One Printer
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)
I have had the same Windows 10 laptop and printer (HP Office Jet Pro 8720) for at least four years. The printer is on my WiFi network. Two days ago, I experienced the following:
- When I opened the HP App to scan a document, I saw a message “Add Your First Printer,” rather than the usual “Ready”.
- I clicked on “Add Printer” The app went through a “Searching for Printers” sequence and returned a “No Printer Found”
- I clicked on Search Again” and the App then presented a message “What type of printer are you trying to find “ and offered three options: (a) Wifi set up; (b) USB Printer, and (c)Printer Connected to Network
- I chose Network Printer and clicked Search. Again “No Printers Found”
Three other points:
- I can still print
- The blue network light on the printer is still on
- If I leave the HP App for a while, the “Ready” message reappears and I can use the scanner.
How do I fix this problem?
Thanks for your help.
