Product: HP DeskJet 3752 All-in-One Printer

I have a HP DeskJet 3752. Whenever I try to scan, there is a black vertical line. I'm assuming the scan screen needs cleaned but  I'm not sure how to clean it as this does not have a lift lid on it.
